CASE STUDY 2 / OUTRVA

The 20 portraits featured in the exhibition “One Love: LGBT Families” were photographed by Michael Simon over two and a half months around the Richmond area for OutRVA, a division of Richmond Region Tourism. The portraits offer a wide-ranging look at the many diverse faces of LGBT families. The photographs reflect both a keen skill in capturing a family, as well as a subjects’ personality and enthusiasm. The project was exhibited for 8 months at The Valentine Museum in Richmond, Virginia.
